WA Explorer is your outdoor guide to experiencing and exploring West Australia. With over 12,000km of coastline, more sunshine than anywhere else in Australia and spectacular scenery, WA is a nature’s playground for almost any outdoor activity as long as it doesn’t involve snow.

WA Explorer’s mission is to promote the great outdoors, with a focus on adventure sports, nature-based activities, conservation and inspiring travel tales.

If you love the outdoors, camping, water sports and nature then hopefully you’ll find inspiration here on things to do and places to go.

 About Me

Nina

I’m Nina, I’m so glad you made it here. I spent years exploring the world looking for more exotic, interesting and exciting destinations. I set foot on every continent (except Antarctica), went to almost every country in Europe and backpacked solo across West Africa. Ten years later, I came back to Perth because I missed the beaches and the laid-back lifestyle. It was only then that I started discovering this amazing part of the world.

My focus is on outdoor activities and although I live for water sports and the beach, I’m slowly starting to get used to dry land adventures too. I love wine, coffee and dining out, but I’ll leave that to someone else to write about.

  1. Hi Nina,

I love what I’ve seen so far on the blog! It seems we have a lot in common – I love nature, travel and outdoors adventures (as you can probably tell from my blog). And like you I gained a whole new appreciation for the great things about WA, many that I used to take for granted, after travelling elsewhere around the world and coming back home again.

Keep up the great work, I’ll look forward to your new posts.

  2. Hi dear Nina!
Not sure when and if I’ll visit Australia in the near future, so until then your blog will keep me informed 😉

  3. Hi Nina,
After traveling the world you appreciate your own backyard so much more!
    Just stumbled across your site.
WA is good place to be. Keep up the good work.

    1. Hi Ingo, absolutely. I think you need to explore what’s out there before you can truly appreciate what you have at home. Saw from your blog that you have arrived back home too. All the best for your next adventures, no matter whether they’re near or far from home.
