It is a great little spot!

Wish I knew of this lake when I was last in Perth on a 40 degree day!

  3. I learnt to swim here back in the 1970s. We had many a family outing to “the lake”. Barbecues and picnics and I still remember being treated to a Twin Pole at the cafeteria. The muddy smell of the lake evokes many memories for me.

Sounds like a lovely childhood memory. There’s a real old fashioned appeal to the lake and I hope that kids continue to grow up with the same memories as you minus the Twin Poles (whatever happened to those?)

  4. Hi Nina,

Wow, Lake Leshenaultia looks like a place we have to visit in a couple of months, when we’re back to Perth. A lake with a beach… love it! There so many beautiful places around Perth. Thanks for sharing.

    Liebe Grüsse aus Adelaide,
    Reni 🙂
