Coronation Beach is a campsite located about 35km north of Geraldton. It’s also one of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing spots in WA – since it’s my favourite spot I’m more inclined to say that it’s the best in the world.
In the windy season Coronation Beach is busy with wind and kitesurfers. At other times of the year, the site attracts the caravaning crowd who make this a popular overnight or weekend campground on their way further north or south. Continue reading Coronation Beach

I’ve always had a thing for Lancelin. For me, it’s the quintessential WA fishing town straight out of a Tim Winton book. I love the colour of the ocean, the dolphins that regularly swim in the bay, the vast sand dunes at the back of the town and most of all the endless stretch of beach.
It’s not the place to come for fine dining, or great shopping or gourmet coffee. On the other hand, if you love uncrowded beaches, the big outdoors, and don’t mind being windswept then Lancelin is a great place to visit. Continue reading Things to do in Lancelin
